PIXELD · VDI + VIRTUAL DESKTOPS

Virtual desktops are the starting point. PixelD manages the work behind them.

Deliver centrally managed desktops and applications to distributed users while keeping compute, applications, project state and policy closer to controlled infrastructure.

WHAT THIS PIXELD MODE MEANS

One PixelD fabric. A workload-specific operating profile.

PixelD can operate as a virtual desktop and virtual application platform for role-based business, administrative, branch, developer and technical workspaces. The same control model can then extend into higher-compute engineering, AI and immersive workloads.

WHY IT MATTERS

Move the workload to the right compute without losing operational control.

PixelD is evaluated around user experience, centralized control, security boundaries, resilience and infrastructure efficiency—not only around a remote-display protocol.

CENTRALIZED CONTROL

Manage workspace profiles, application sets and lifecycle centrally instead of rebuilding every endpoint.

DEVICE FLEXIBILITY

Users can enter through supported browsers or endpoint clients while the workload remains on controlled compute.

DATA GOVERNANCE

Keep high-value working state closer to governed infrastructure rather than distributing it by default.

CONTINUITY

Pair workspace state with KVFES snapshots, versions, recovery and disaster-recovery workflows where deployed.

USE CASES

Start with the workload, not the endpoint.

Choose one expensive, difficult or highly controlled workload and qualify the experience before expanding the operating model.

Business & branch desktops

Standardized role-based workspaces for distributed offices, branches and temporary teams.

Virtual applications

Deliver approved applications without requiring every application stack to live permanently on the endpoint.

Developer workspaces

Controlled editor, terminal, build/test/debug and repository access under company policy.

Privileged / regulated work

Private workspaces for higher-control operational roles where local data sprawl is undesirable.

PIXELD OPERATING MODEL

Access device → PixelD session + policy → workload-sized CPU/GPU + governed data.

ACCESS

Browser · endpoint · headset where qualified

Display, input and secure access appropriate to the workload.

→
PIXELD

Session · application · policy · lifecycle

One managed operating layer for the user and application environment.

→
COMPUTE + DATA

CPU · GPU · RAM · project state

Resources stay where performance, security and recovery make business sense.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Understand the boundary before the pilot.

PixelD claims are intentionally tied to measured or qualified deployment conditions rather than universal performance promises.

Is PixelD a VDI platform?

Yes. VDI and virtual application delivery are core PixelD modes, but PixelD is positioned more broadly as an enterprise compute fabric that can also serve engineering, AI/research, development, application runtime and immersive workloads.

Does PixelD require a powerful endpoint?

The model is designed to move the demanding workload to centralized compute so the access device can focus primarily on interaction, display and secure access. Exact endpoint requirements depend on the deployed profile.

Can PixelD replace every existing VDI deployment?

That must be evaluated workload by workload. A controlled pilot should validate applications, peripherals, identity, network conditions, security policy and user-experience requirements before migration.

NEXT STEP

Prove this workload on PixelD.

Define the application, endpoint, network, compute profile, data boundary and measurable acceptance criteria. Then qualify it under real operating conditions.
