PIXELD · USE-CASE ATLAS
Understand PixelD by what you need to run.
PixelD is not limited to one desktop type. It is a managed compute fabric that can present different operating profiles—from ordinary virtual desktops and applications through 4K GPU workstations, Unreal and research environments to immersive VR/XR.
WORKLOAD CATEGORIES
One platform. Sixteen practical entry points.
Choose the nearest workload to your current requirement. The links below take you to the relevant PixelD operating mode and qualification boundary.
VDI + virtual desktops
Role-based, persistent or task-oriented desktops for business, branch, regulated and technical users.
Explore →APPSVirtual applications
Deliver approved applications from centralized compute without forcing the complete application stack onto each endpoint.
Explore →ACCESSBrowser + thin-client access
Use a browser-first or managed endpoint access model where the workload stays in controlled infrastructure.
Explore →4K4K GPU workstations
Remote high-resolution workstations for users who need stronger centralized CPU/GPU resources.
Explore →ENGINEERINGCAD / CAM / CAE
Engineering design, product development, modelling and technical review using centrally managed application environments.
Explore →3D3D visualization + rendering
Interactive modelling, rendering, visualization and high-fidelity review without tying the workload to one physical workstation.
Explore →SPECIALISTGIS + specialist graphics
Centralized visual compute for GIS, imaging and other specialist graphics-heavy technical applications.
Explore →UNREALUnreal + interactive 3D
Run Unreal-class applications, simulations, games and Pixel Streaming-oriented workloads on managed GPU infrastructure.
Explore →AIAI + computer vision
Interactive GPU-backed workspaces for vision tooling, notebooks, model-driven workflows and experimentation.
Explore →RESEARCHScientific + research tools
Robotics, simulation, molecular/scientific visualization and institutional research environments.
Explore →DEVControlled development
Company-governed editor, terminal, repository, build, test and debug workspaces.
Explore →RUNTIMEPrivate application runtime
Run approved applications on managed private endpoints with health, release and rollback control.
Explore →BRANCHBranch + temporary workspaces
Standardized desktops and applications for branches, contractors, project teams and temporary operational capacity.
Explore →BCPBCP / recovery workspace
Recreate controlled user work environments around protected data and centrally managed compute during continuity events.
Explore →TRAININGTraining + simulation
Repeatable interactive environments for operational, engineering and technical training.
Explore →VR/XRVR / XR immersive compute
Headset-oriented simulation, engineering walkthroughs, education, research and interactive worlds on qualified paths.
Explore →CONTINUITY + RECOVERY
Recreate the workspace around protected compute and data—not thousands of individual endpoints.
For continuity planning, PixelD can provide standardized replacement or temporary workspaces while KVFES protects the underlying data through snapshots, versions and recovery workflows where deployed. Exact recovery objectives depend on the deployment design and must be qualified.
